Used to precipitate out large floating proteins in the boil which can damage flavor in any style (including the darkest beers) and leave beer hazy. It is also very nutritious, and is primarily (80%) pectin. Effective in all grain, partial mash or extract brews. Always add to your brew kettle for the last 15 minutes of the boil.
