The inner foam core is a highly resilient foamed inert resin. It allows Neocork to maintain pressure against the neck of the bottle over a long period of time. The outer surface is a more elastic material that is resistant to cuts and wrinkles caused by standard cork insertion machinery. Working like a gasket, it forms a smooth seal with the bottle wall, allowing easy extraction and reinsertion.
